BOBCATSSS (formerly EUCLID) is an independent not-for-profit association that promotes European cooperation in library and information science (LIS) education and research and serves as a body through which European interest regarding LIS education can be represented.
BOBCATSSS Conference
The annual BOBCATSSS conference is a unique forum that is organized by European students in Library and Information Science (LIS) and aims to promote scholarly communication and research, facilitate international collaboration and networking, foster cooperation and collaboration, and support the ongoing development LIS of education.
Membership
The BOBCATSSS association does not charge membership fees. All are welcome to participate. Please see Calls for Participation.
BOBCATSSS – Where did the name come from?
The first BOBCATSSS symposium was held in 1993 in cooperation between universities in Budapest, Oslo, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Tampere, Stuttgart, Szombathely and Sheffield – it is from the first letter of each of these cities that BOBCATSSS gets its name! The tradition of holding the conference has been passed on from one university to the next for over 30 years.
